Designing Digital Experiences for Humans and AI Agents
February 2, 2026
The web is becoming a surface for people, search systems, assistants, and software agents. Structure is now a product requirement.
A page that looks complete to a human can still be opaque to a machine. Missing semantics, unclear actions, and unstructured content make products harder to discover, test, and operate through agents.
Preparing for that future does not require speculative features. It requires semantic HTML, metadata, APIs with permissions, observable journeys, and trustworthy content signals.
This is also an accessibility and quality issue. Clear structure, keyboard access, and explicit state help people and automated systems alike.
Experience Intelligence then becomes the feedback loop: if an agent or a customer cannot complete a journey, the system should make that failure visible and actionable.
