Building Quality Gates into the Modern Web Lifecycle
March 4, 2026
Quality is not a phase after development. It is a set of automated proofs that a release is allowed to move forward.
End-of-cycle QA cannot keep up with AI-accelerated implementation. If code can be generated faster, unverified defects can also be generated faster.
A modern quality system is a sequence of gates: build validation, automated tests, accessibility, performance, security, visual regression, then deployment. Each gate answers a specific question with evidence.
Journey coverage matters more than raw test count. Checkout, login, search, registration, and other revenue or operations paths should be explicit, stable, and continuously protected.
AI can help generate scenarios and analyze failures. Humans still decide which risks are acceptable and which gates are blocking. That combination is how teams ship faster without lowering the standard.
